Nibambe works when creatives and clients can trust each other. These Guidelines explain, in plain words, what is expected of everyone. They form part of our Terms of Use. Breaking them can lead to content being removed or an account being closed.
1. Be real
(a) Use your real legal name when you join. You may show a stage name publicly, but never pretend to be someone else, another creative, a brand or Nibambe.
(b) Show only your own work in your portfolio, and only work you have the right to show.
(c) Post only real Gigs, with honest details about the work, place, dates and pay (or say clearly if it is unpaid).
(d) Keep your profile up to date. Hide it when you are not available for a long time.
2. Be respectful
(a) No harassment, threats, insults, stalking or bullying.
(b) No sexual comments, requests or advances. A casting is not a date.
(c) No hate speech or discrimination based on ethnicity, tribe, race, religion, gender, disability, age or any other characteristic.
(d) If someone says "no" or stops replying, respect it.
3. No scams, no fees
(a) Nibambe never charges creatives to join, apply, audition or be booked. Nobody else may either: no "registration", "processing", "audition", "booking" or "agency" fees.
(b) Never ask for M-Pesa payments, deposits, crypto, bank details, ID copies or PINs before a job is clearly agreed.
(c) No pyramid schemes, "investment opportunities" or fake job offers, especially for work abroad.
4. Keep it safe
(a) Meet for auditions and shoots in professional or public places. Tell someone where you are going.
(b) Agree the job in writing before you start: what, when, where, how long, how much, deposit and cancellation.
(c) Be careful with offers to travel abroad. Check the organiser and never hand over your passport.
(d) Children are only contacted through their parent or guardian. Read our Child Safeguarding Policy.
5. Keep Nibambe clean
(a) No links, phone numbers or adverts in profile text: use the contact and social fields.
(b) No spam or copy paste messages to many creatives.
(c) No scraping, bots, fake accounts or tricks to rank higher, including hidden instructions aimed at our AI.
(d) No sexual or pornographic content, and nothing illegal.
6. Respect others' work
(a) Credit the people you worked with when you can.
(b) Do not use someone's photos, music or videos without permission.
(c) Clients should agree with creatives, before the job, how the work and images will be used.
7. Reporting
(a) Every profile and Gig has a "Report" button. Use it honestly.
(b) When several different people report the same profile or Gig, it is hidden automatically until our team checks it. Being hidden for review is not a finding that you did anything wrong.
(c) False or malicious reports are themselves a breach of these Guidelines.
(d) For urgent help: support@nibambe.com. In danger: call 999 or 112. For children: Childline Kenya, 116.
8. What we do when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may: give a warning, remove content, hide a profile or Gig, remove a label such as "Verified client", suspend or close the account, and, where the law requires or someone is at risk, report it to the authorities. You can ask us to review any decision by writing to support@nibambe.com within thirty (30) days.
